 Since 1997 MetroQuest (previously known as QUEST) has been used successfully on four continents from North America (Greater Vancouver, Whistler, BC Hydro, Canada, Idaho, United States) to Australasia (South East Queensland, Australia, Christchurch, New Zealand, Bali, Indonesia) to Europe (Manchester, England). Here are some project highlights that illustrate how MetroQuest can be used and the kinds of results that follow: Idaho Transportation Department Challenge: create 30-year vision for transportation for State of Idaho in consultation with the states’ diverse stakeholders. Solution: conduct hands-on scenario planning workshops using MetroQuest Express with wireless voting handsets. Solution: conduct a series of over 30 engaging scenario exploration workshops allowing stakeholders to create and evaluate alternative long range futures using a customized version of MetroQuest. Result: powerful education on the linkages between choices and consequences and valuable input on a shared vision for the future of the city. >> Read more in our news section << Regional Municipality of Whistler Challenge: develop a 20-year comprehensive sustainability plan for municipality in collaboration with stakeholders and the general public. Solution: use Quest to develop alternative future scenarios using a wide range of community defined criteria and present the results in a series of community workshops and outreach events for evaluation and identification of a preferred future.
