Envision professionals have over 15 years of experience in regional planning, environmental management and participatory processes. Envision has facilitated training sessions with stakeholder groups and decision makers in the private and public sectors. This unparalleled grouping of competencies has contributed to the emergence of MetroQuest as the most advanced and user-friendly sustainability communication tool available in the market today.

MetroQuest evolved out of ten years of interdisciplinary research involving over 70 researchers at the Sustainable Development Research Institute (SDRI) of the University of British Columbia. The approach was first applied to the Greater Vancouver region. Soon after its first release the demand for MetroQuest (formerly called QUEST) around the world soared. It was clear that it was addressing a critical need.

Envision was formed in 1997 to meet the worldwide demand for MetroQuest. Since then Envision has applied MetroQuest in regions on four continents while SDRI continues ongoing research and development to improve the MetroQuest approach. This unique public-private partnership ensures that MetroQuest continues to evolve and improve through practical experience and continued research and evaluation.
